acadia

if ever there were a town more obsessed with blueberries than bar harbor, we're not sure we could tell ya. we just spent last week up in acadia national park, off the coast of maine for some great camping + beautiful views.

(read: golden opportunity for seth to break in his newly acquired ultra posh camping cookware.)

we set up our tent at blackwoods campground and then asked the ranger where all the locals go for dinner leading us to the ultra chill digs of the lompoc cafe - complete with bacci court and blueberry beer on tap. (www.atlanticbrewing.com/beer.html)

when we got back to the campsite, after a failed attempt to keep the fire going, we resorted to bringing all of our smore making supplies inside the tent with us, zipped ourselves into our sleeping bags and then continued to gorge ourselves on all of the chocolate-graham gooeyness in the raw.

we spent the rest of the trip exploring some of the different coves, lakes and habors - including a spot called 'thunderhole' (a name which strangely none of the locals thought was funny - we, on the other hand, laughed like middle schoolers every time)

hiking the rocky west ridge of mount cadillac

enjoying the beautiful but freezing waves at sandy beach

and going on tandem sunset kayak trip around the porcupine islands.
